2nd Amendment

According to gun-grabbers, it’s not enough to simply require background checks for gun purchases. Now they want background checks for ammo purchases as well. Florida’s Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Connecticut’s Richard Blumenthal proposed a new measure that would force those who want to buy ammo to undergo a background check from the FBI’s National Instant Background Check System. According to supporters of the ammo bill, it would leave would-be criminals with a gun without any ammo. Here’s what Blumenthal said about his proposal: Ammunition sales should be subject to the same legal requirements as firearm sales, and that includes instant background checks. The same laws that prevent dangerous individuals from purchasing firearms also prohibit them from amassing arsenals of ammunition, with one major loophole: there are no background checks for ammunition sales to enforce the law. As you can imagine, if something like this were passed into law, the would cause…

There is now even more active gun control in our country thanks to the laws recently passed in Rhode Island. Two Rhode Island bills have been signed into law: S.2292 and S.2492. The new laws ban bump stocks and also set up what’s known as “red flag laws”…a way of seizing guns from those who are suspected of being “dangerous”. The laws encountered no resistance and were passed unanimously by Rhode Island’s senate, which is controlled by Democrats. Here’s what Governor Gina Raimondo said about the laws she signed into effect: I applaud the General Assembly for standing with our kids, teachers, law enforcement and parents across the state by taking action to strengthen Rhode Island’s gun law. Their action to ban bump stocks and pass a red flag law will make Rhode Island a safer state. Rhode Island’s new bump stock ban would outlaw all sliding style butt-stocks that allow…

With so many school shootings happening lately, many places have been “cracking down” on guns in an effort to stop them. However, the state of Arkansas has decided to do something that we’ve known would work all along…and that’s to allow campus carry. Arkansas’ new campus carry law, Act 562, allows people to get an additional certification that allows them to carry a firearm on campus. The additional certification consists of eight hours of additional training and a graded live-fire course. Rather than result in a massive bloodbath like many anti-gunners predicted, the new law seems to be working out just fine with no issues at all so far. So far, universities and colleges in Arkansas have gone through a full semester with the new campus carry law in effect. Here’s what Captain Chris Bentley of the University of Central Arkansas Police Department had to say about the situation: “We have…

You’ve seen the 2nd Amendment come under fire before and you’ve even seen efforts to see it get changed…but have you ever seen anyone deny its existence and call it “imaginary”? If not, you’re in for a real treat because that’s exactly what happened recently. And not with some random anti-gunner off the street, but with a high-profile politician. As you’re probably already aware, there was recently a school shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas. The savage attack killed 10 students and left many more injured. The psychopath who carried out this attack was a 17 year old student who attended the high school. But rather than focus on the shooter and what’s causing these attacks to happen, gun grabbers are going after the 2nd Amendment. One Democrat gun grabber who is very vocal about his views on gun control goes as far as to say that the…

The public backlash against bump stocks has come at a huge price. Slide Fire, the largest manufacturer of bump stocks, has recently shut down their website and have stopped operations. The company says that orders placed before May 20 will still be processed and shipped out. The only other thing mentioned on their website is that those who need customer service should email them directly, with a link provided on the page. What could have caused the largest manufacturer of bump stocks to suddenly go belly-up and cease their operations? It turns out that the problem is two-fold. First, Slide Fire has been taken to court in a large number of lawsuits because of the Route 91 Harvest shooting in Las Vegas last October. If you remember that shooting, it left 58 dead and approximately 850 others injured. The attention from this shooting comes not just from the massive amount of…

Nothing gets gun grabbers riled up like a rally against their favorite buzz word…”assault rifles”. Apparently the term “modern sporting rifle” just isn’t exciting enough for them and they can’t understand how guns could be used for anything other than murdering people. That’s why this congressman has a plan for “assault rifles” that blatantly violates our 2nd Amendment rights…all for the sake of the common good, of course. Representative Eric Swalwell, a Democrat from California, has a grand plan for solving America’s gun crime problem once and for all. He wants to ban all assault weapons and do an Australian-style gun buyback to encourage people to turn them in themselves. And for those who don’t want to comply? He wants to “go after resisters”…and you can probably imagine what he has in mind. It’s the typical overbearing sense of “justice” that we see time and time again from the left.…

If you’ve been paying attention to the news at all lately then you know how much of an anti-gun craze has been going on. And while this anti-gun trend started many years ago, the level it’s at now has reached new all time highs when it comes to backwards thinking. In the name of “public safety”, nonsensical laws are being enacted that blatantly violate the 2nd Amendment and strip away our right to bear arms. But even though the situation looks bleak, some companies are getting by through what some people might consider “loopholes” in the system. One of those companies who are getting around the system is Franklin Armory. As you probably already know, California is a very anti-gun state. Their gun laws are some of the strictest in the country and has led many would-be gun owning residents to give up on owning a gun. And as a…

New York isn’t getting away with their anti-gun agenda with no resistance anymore. Now, even an ammo manufacturer is taking a stand against their attacks on gun rights. New York ordered banks and insurers to review their relationships with the NRA, gun makers, and ammo makers. But instead of sitting back and accepting the harsh treatment, ammo maker Hornday is taking a stand. In response to New York’s call for a “review”, Hornady will no longer sell ammo to New York government agencies. The “review” that was mentioned was called for in April by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Governor Cuomo urged them to think about how ties to gun organizations and makers would “harm their corporate reputations and jeopardize public safety”. His reasoning is flimsy at best. Governor Cuomo is not a banker and should have no concern about any bank’s “corporate reputation”. Cuomo went on to say: New…

California is at it again with their attacks on the 2nd Amendment and are doing everything they can to stop its residents from owning and shooting guns. But this time California is encountering resistance from an unexpected place. In response to their latest anti-gun legislation, Olympic gold medalist Kim Rhode is suing the state of California in an attempt to turn things around. Kim Rhode is a six-time Olympic medal winner and won her first gold medal just after she had turned 17. It should come as no surprise that the Kim Rhode goes through an incredible amount of ammo every year as part of her Olympic training, which is why she’s fighting back against Proposition 63. Proposition 63 does several things in an attempt to make things harder for gun owners such as: banning the sale of ammo through mail order, puts all transfers of ammo under a registration…

Bad news for residents of Boulder, Colorado where a new gun control law that would ban the sale or possession of “assault rifle” firearms was recently signed into law. It also prohibits high-capacity magazines and bump stocks. This applies to several gun models of course, but the emphasis is placed on the AR-15 which has gained an unjust reputation among gun-grabbers of being the spookiest, scariest, most bloodthirsty gun ever made. The Boulder City Council passed the new law with a unanimous vote and the vote was cast after a five hour long meeting where the new bill was being discussed. Almost 150 people signed up to speak at the meeting where they provided their opinions which were either for or against the proposed bill, though only 111 of them actually had the chance to speak at the meeting. One of the Boulder residents who spoke out against the proposed…
