With the increased frequency of school shootings lately, many people have been left scratching their heads and wondering why this type of thing is happening in the first place. The left blames guns, of course, but we know the real reason for the increase frequency of school shootings is caused by something else. Instead, the real reason for school shootings is much more psychological…and it relates heavily to the news media that lives on hype. We all know that it’s a tiny fraction of the population that commits horrible crimes like this…but with an American population of 350,000,000 people, even a tiny fraction amounts to a sizable chunk of people these days. Of course, it isn’t just because of the population. It has a lot to do with “feelings of insignificance”, which is further fueled by the media. When someone is feeling insignificant and is desperate for attention, they don’t…

With so many school shootings happening lately, many places have been “cracking down” on guns in an effort to stop them. However, the state of Arkansas has decided to do something that we’ve known would work all along…and that’s to allow campus carry. Arkansas’ new campus carry law, Act 562, allows people to get an additional certification that allows them to carry a firearm on campus. The additional certification consists of eight hours of additional training and a graded live-fire course. Rather than result in a massive bloodbath like many anti-gunners predicted, the new law seems to be working out just fine with no issues at all so far. So far, universities and colleges in Arkansas have gone through a full semester with the new campus carry law in effect. Here’s what Captain Chris Bentley of the University of Central Arkansas Police Department had to say about the situation: “We have…

The 6.5 Creedmoor has been making waves among shooters for it’s long range accuracy. It’s a round that has truly earned its place in shooters’ guns. But now, there’s a new type of Creedmoor round that’s positioning itself as a serious competitor to the wildly popular 6.5 Creedmoor. Its called the 6mm Creedmoor. Well, actually, the 6mm isn’t a “new” round by any means. It’s already been around for quite a few years, but it has been so obscure and hard to find that it might as well be considered as being new. The 6mm Creedmoor was created by John Snow, the author of Outdoor Life, and was designed to be a long range round. He created the 6mm Creedmoor so he could write a feature article about it in Outdoor Life. Here’s what Snow says about creating the 6mm Creedmoor: “My ambitions for this wildcat extended no further than…

Handgun lovers are in for a treat today because Springfield has released a brand new pistol. It’s called the Springfield TRP 10mm RMR…and it’s a whopper! You don’t see guns chambered for 10mm that often, so it’s always a nice surprise when a gun maker releases a gun that uses it. In Springfield’s case, this new handgun is only their second gun to be chambered for 10mm…so this is a nice treat from them. But the buzz around Springfield’s new handgun isn’t just because it’s chambered for 10mm…it also has a lot to do with the overall quality of the gun. In short, this gun is great and that’s reflected in its price…which goes for around $2,558. Here’s what makes Springfield’s new 10mm so special. Right out of the gate you can choose between a 5-inch barrel or a 6-inch barrel. It’s always nice to have some customization options from…

How many of you have ever been faced with this situation before? You have a gun that you no longer use or want, so you’d like to sell it…but you don’t have the time to go to a gun show or find a buyer. Lack of time is the biggest reason that gun owners don’t sell their guns that they don’t want anymore. But Guns.com’s gun buyback program makes it quick and easy. Here’s how it works. First, you tell them all about the gun you want to sell. What kind it is, hold old it is, how much it has been used, the overall quality, and other things that will help them determine what it’s worth. Then, they’ll make you a reasonable offer for your gun. If you like it, you can begin the next part of the deal…if not, just decline and you can go your separate ways.…

The NRA annual meeting that was held in Dallas, Texas had many manufacturers showing off some of their new products. And while I wasn’t there myself, we can still find plenty of exciting photos of products thanks to the team at Guns.com. First up is a new bipod from Magpul. I wrote about Magpul’s new bipod in a previous post where it’s shown that it has several upgrades and looks like a pretty high-quality bipod. The only drawback that I can find is that it has a pretty heft price tag and as of yet still lacks reviews from early adopters. Next up is a new riflescope from Sig Sauer called the Ballistics Data Xchange, or more simply the BDX. The idea is that this scope has integrated applied ballistics and bluetooth. If you were hoping for a new handgun from Sig Sauer, your wish has been granted. On day…

New York isn’t getting away with their anti-gun agenda with no resistance anymore. Now, even an ammo manufacturer is taking a stand against their attacks on gun rights. New York ordered banks and insurers to review their relationships with the NRA, gun makers, and ammo makers. But instead of sitting back and accepting the harsh treatment, ammo maker Hornday is taking a stand. In response to New York’s call for a “review”, Hornady will no longer sell ammo to New York government agencies. The “review” that was mentioned was called for in April by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Governor Cuomo urged them to think about how ties to gun organizations and makers would “harm their corporate reputations and jeopardize public safety”. His reasoning is flimsy at best. Governor Cuomo is not a banker and should have no concern about any bank’s “corporate reputation”. Cuomo went on to say: New…

YETI coolers are some of the best coolers around, but they don’t come cheap. They can sell for anywhere from a couple hundred dollars to over a thousand dollars depending on the model. That’s why it was so important to get some sort of discount on them. Members of the NRA used to get a discount on YETI coolers, but YETI recently revoked that discount. Sounds pretty ordinary so far, but this is where the confusion begins… According to the NRA, they received a letter from YETI saying that they will no longer sell their products to the NRA. And to make matters worse, the letter did not give a reason for this change. This has led the NRA to the conclusion that this is a political response by YETI in order to make a statement about recent mass shootings like the one in Parkland, Florida. It’s not uncommon for…

The Millcreek Township School District in Pennsylvania is taking a stand against gun violence and is going to fight back…with the most ridiculous and insulting “weapons” you can possibly imagine. In the event that a shooter makes their way into a Millcreek Township School, they’ll be met by a lineup of teachers holding tiny wooden baseball bats that are no more than 16 inches long. Well, that’s their plan anyway. In reality, it’s unlikely that anyone would be delusional enough to fight off someone who has a firearm with a tiny wooden baseball bat that looks more like a toy than a weapon. The Millcreek Township School District has more than 7,400 students and spent around $1,800 on the baseball bats. The result is that roughly 500 teachers are armed with these toy bats and some of them are feeling pretty confident about it. It seemed like a joke at…

If you think the gun debate has become rather heated lately, just wait until you see what North Carolina sheriff candidate Dary Fisher had to say about gun owners. During a meeting with Moms Demand Action on March 7th, Daryl Fisher voiced his support for gun control and his support for “common sense” legislation. If you aren’t already familiar with common sense legislation, here’s a quick outline: He would like bans on full capacity magazines for rifles and handguns, bans on all guns that are used by the military, and also increasing the legal age to purchase firearms to the age of 21. However, the shocking part of this meeting comes later when he was countering objections to his proposals. One of the things that came up was what would happen if people refuse to give up their guns. In response, he proposed killing anyone who didn’t comply with the…
